SEO online success is very complex and difficult to grasp for us mere mortals in Facilities Maintenance and Construction, especially for non-web techy’s (most of us). In other words, for a new web site owner it’s so complex that it takes a long time to understand and learn all the little things that search engines, Google specifically, are asking for. Time, money, and the ability to understand complex issues are necessary to rank pages on the world’s most popular search engine.

In fact the Google ranking factors 2013 lists are now being continuously adjusted and edited so by now they are out of date already!

Having said that, for us construction and facilities specialists, I still found it necessary to compile Google’s Complete List of 200 Ranking Factors that you can ask your SEO specialist about. Make a list of the things you need to implement into your marketing strategy. Remember, this is all what are known as ‘white hat’ approved techniques and I would strongly urge you to avoid ‘spammy’ unethical or black hat techniques. I have seen multiple business owners who have struggled with major Google updates. They were toying with the dark side and Google caught them out.
